Frequently Asked Questions

What is a health coach?

A health coach is a supportive mentor who helps their clients reach their wellness goals and feel their best through personalized, one-on-one encouragement around finding the nutrition and lifestyle practices that work best for them. Health coaches do not follow a mainstream, one-size-fits-all approach and can create a plan that fits you and your unique self.

Are you the same as a dietician?

I am a certified nutritionist and have followed an in-depth seven-month gut health program through the Institute for integrative nutrition, where I also studied to become a health coach. Nutrition is an evidence-based practice. Although I take all nutritional research backed up by science into my work, I believe that you should look at health through a holistic lens. Many different factors should be considered when working towards better health, i.e., physical, emotional, mental, and even spiritual health.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Although there are many similarities between coaching and therapy, the primary difference is that coaching focuses on the present and is goal-oriented. Therapy is often past-focused, designed to address painful, unresolved issues. My health coaching is not as black and white as this; although we focus on the now, set goals, and consistently work forward, we also discuss beliefs and circumstances that have shaped you and have an effect on how we work together in the current day and maybe influence your progress.

How do you measure progress?

Depending on each individual’s goal, this can alter. Clients need many different outcomes, i.e., weight loss, stress management, gut health, etc. Hence, it is crucial to understand what is most important in your health journey.

Will I have to track my food, i.e., calories and macronutrients?

We do not require the same amount of food (calories and macronutrients) every day. This is different depending on our physical, mental, and bodily needs. We need to learn how to listen to our bodies’ innate wisdom and become more intuitive and learn how to trust ourselves and our bodies’ cues. For these reasons, nutritional recommendations are not calorie or macro-controlled. We will focus on nourishment, nutrition, and building beautiful plates that work for you and your unique needs.

What is your cancellation policy?

If a client needs to cancel or reschedule the appointment, the client must do so 24 hours in advance; otherwise, the client will forfeit that appointment and will not have an opportunity to reschedule it. In the event of the client’s absence or withdrawal from our program, for any reason, the client will remain responsible for the pro-rata share of the program, plus a cancelation fee of 50EU.

How often will we meet?

We will meet each week on the same day and at the same time. Before working together, you will receive a program schedule as well.

How can I get in touch with you in between sessions?

Via Telegram APP or Email, whichever you prefer.

I don't live locally. Can I still work with you?

Yes, I take most of my calls over zoom.

What are your fees?

You can find my fees for the coaching program under the ‘programs’ section.

Do you teach intuitive eating?

I teach my clients to become more intuitive and in tune with their needs; however, the intuitive eating practice completely removes intentional weight loss. The end goal for me and my clients is to get to a place where they can eat intuitively and focus on long-term health transformation, with weight loss not being the main focus. Still, I think it is entirely okay to build a healthy relationship with food while losing weight and improving nutrition!
